"Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter" is the second single from the 1990 Iron Maiden album No Prayer for the Dying. But it wasn't originally written for the band.

The song was originally recorded and released by the band vocalist Bruce Dickinson in August 1989 for the soundtrack to "A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child" movie.

Upon hearing the song, the bassist Steve Harris decided that it would be "great for Maiden" and convinced Dickinson not to put it on his solo album. Instead, re-record it for the next Maiden album.

The song's original version was the first collaboration between Dickinson and Janick Gers, who joined Iron Maiden the following year, replacing Adrian Smith as guitarist.
