I originally created the Interior of the Tavern to represent a game level asset with some degree of player interaction and it is based off games such as The Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda. Recently I decided to expand this with one of the free asset packs that Epic provided within their new monthly featured content. This gave me the opportunity to expand the scene and build in a walled city or keep that the player can now investigate. I have used assets from the UE4 store and from TurboSquid as well as creating some base assets myself and the main building using a mix custom and sourced meshes. This used Blueprints to add a custom HUD and Character behaviour to allow the player more interaction such as using the door, picking up tankards and even Oblivion amounts of cheese wheels.
