The KO #114 - PS2 CvS2 hardest VS CPU w/ Sagat, Kim, Yuri, Dan, etc
I'm up to the highest difficulty setting--8, of 8--in VS CPU mode of Capcom vs SNK 2 on PS2. : o This can only be because the game's AI isn't all that smart. : P If I get any better (and I'm not very good at all, is the thing; in most NeoGeo fighting games, for instance, I play at difficulty 3 of 8), I guess I'll either have to mess with the "Handicap" setting, or maybe just restrict myself to smaller teams.
Anyway, for now here I am with completely random teams against the CPU! I made a new save file, so no unlocked G. or O. or whatever he was Rugal or super-duper Akuma/Gouki popping up to spoil the fun. ; ) But check out how much damage ratio 4 K-Groove Rolento's super does to ratio 1 Kyosuke right at the end! : ooo (43:15)
Maybe half or closer to 2/3rds of the way through, I remembered to start trying characters' 7th and 8th palette settings, which I just happened to read about over the weekend: selecting a character with all three punch buttons or all three kick buttons supposedly loads them with unique color palettes--and it did seem to; at least, I don't recall seeing some of those funky color combinations before, although I think I also mis-hit keys on a few so they accidentally just came up as normal, single punch or kick button palettes instead.
Think I finally worked out the contrast setting for these PS2 recordings. Now I just have to remember to have it set correctly per display type (240p/480i/480p) each time!
