The KO #90 - 3rd Strike PS2 VS CPU mode battles (w/ extra colors)
So now that I've cleared the game with all characters to unlock their extra colors--this is Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike in the PS2 "Street Fighter Anniversary Collection"--it's time to play the game's VERSUS mode against the CPU!

3:39 Remy vs Makoto
7:27 Chun-Li vs Oro
10:28 Q vs Ryu
15:42 Ken vs Dudley
18:51 Dudley vs Yun
22:20 Hugo vs Alex
27:06 Urien vs Yun
33:39 Hugo vs Akuma
37:38 Q vs Ken
44:15 Yang vs Alex
51:11 Chun-Li vs Oro
55:38 Urien vs Necro
As usual with Capcom's stuff of this era, even after switching player 2 to CPU in the game's Options, you still need to use a second controller to select their character. : P And there is no random select in 3rd Strike, so I made a script that does that, and also selects a super-art for me, as well as a character color, choosing between both the regular arcade colors and the extra unlocked PS2 version colors that you get by holding Start (all the color selections are hard-mapped to specific PlayStation buttons, no matter how you may have remapped the 3rd strike attack buttons): http://smbhax.com/cgi-bin/teams/3rd.pl
The Vs. CPU mode is fun and really addictive! : D I ended up making some tweaks to my option settings as I went along here, including reducing the Damage setting, to make the 1st-2-3 sets last even longer--more fighting before having to re-pick characters. : )
I guess with the mania for "arcade perfect" ports of the old fighting games these days we're past the era where developers added real new gameplay modes to them, aside from online, practice, and dedicated pvp modes, but at least we weird loners have got this old PS2 version with its added Vs. CPU mode, yay!
Now maybe I'll actually start learning how to play the game? : o ; )
