0Now let's go to the 4th floor, the last floor before the final boss. The sky is still depicted on the walls, but now you are above the clouds and can see the stars. You are so high in the sky that you feel like you are almost in space. It makes you feel like you've come a long way and you're getting really close to the end of the game.
Also on this floor is a clock inside a huge tree. I wonder if this is a depiction of the Tree of Life that we often see in JRPGs. It is a symbol used in several religious traditions. It would be fitting since the sky often represents heaven. Also, since this tree is connected to the wall, it can also represent a physical manifestation of all the life trapped within the walls of the castle. Nevertheless, this is a pretty cool looking tree.
And to continue with the sky theme, there is a bonus level on the left side of the room where you have to get red coins on clouds. It reminds me of the cloud special stages in the original Super Mario Brothers.
