Game description:

You are the last living member of your ninja clan after they were brutally slaughtered. Now, you seek to exact revenge on the evil shogun responsible.

The Last Ninja is an action/adventure game set in medieval Japan. The game is shown in isometric view, and the eponymous ninja can walk in four directions, jump, fight the enemies and collect necessary items on his way.

While fighting, the ninja can use several different blows and block. There are a couple of weapons to find, including smoke bombs and shuriken.

What I have to say:

Ah yeah, TLN...an incredibly famous C64 game ... on the Apple II.

Well, it's long ago since I played the C64 version....REALLY long ago (2 years ago or something oO), so I forgot one important thing: TLN is seperated into levels, and is not an on-going game as I thought, therefore I skipped at some point (as I always do in my videos, when the game is on-going"...yeah, sorry about that.

Anyways, the Apple II version is a little bit different, as the HUD looks different and there is no Ben Daglish music.

One thing remains, despite the level design though ... just like in the C64 versionyou have to get used to the controls, lol (and I have to be honest here, I was NEVER a big fan of the controls...never was and never will be, but hey, I've played games with way worse controls....I am looking at you, Superman 64!)
