Part 2. Okay, so I didn't know what the name of the localization was so I played a re-translation and rom hack that added an automatic password system into the game. So I got unintended quality of life improvements over the original. I have wanted to check this game out for years, so here we are. It starts out simple enough, but this game is no cake walk. It's pretty straight forward and pretty goofy. It's a neat platformer that mixes in some beat em up stuff. When you beat enemies they can drop money or cat statues. The money can be used to buy some helpful things, like armor or food that will restore your health. You can also play a variety of mini-games to gamble and win more money. Neat. The cat statues power up your weapon. There is your small pipe, large pipe and a yo-yo. Cool stuff. The game is super linear and level based and boy does it get hard. The final couple of levels are rough with some pretty tough bosses and the final level is brutal with a boss rush at the end. I liked it, but man did it ever kick my butt. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
