Welcome to my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES! This game is the first of many prequels to the original Legend of Zelda. Unlike Zelda II, A Link to the Past returns to the overhead view and gameplay of the original. This is my favorite entry in the series, and it is in fact the first that I played seriously. It introduces several concepts and items that have since become standard in the Zelda games, such as the Master Sword, seven sages, the Hookshot, and Ganon's original name.

In this video, the game's title screens play. We even get a nice history lesson about the legends leading up to the game's events.
