This is video #11 in my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES. Link has arrived at the first dungeon in the Dark World, the Palace of Darkness. He paid a monkey named Kiki over a hundred Rupees to open the dungeon's door.

The entrance chamber looks a bit like the Eastern Palace's entrance chamber, but that is where the similarity ends. From the entrance, Link first heads through the western door. The switch that opens it is directly on the way. In the next room, there is a switch under the northwest pot to reopen the door.

Link takes the stairway down to B1 (time 0:29). Under the southwest pot is a switch that makes a chest appear. This chest holds the first Key.

Back upstairs, Link now heads through the northeast door. In the eastern room, there is a switch under the northeast pot to reopen the door.

Link takes the eastern stairway down to B1 (time 1:13). The warp tile takes him to a room with a telepathic tile to the north and a breakable wall to the south. This time, it is Zelda that contacts Link. Past the breakable wall is a hallway going west. Don't slash the Baris with the sword while they are sparking, or they will damage Link. To the west, there is another breakable wall to the north.

There are Goriyas in the next room, two green and one red. They only move when Link moves, and the red one will spit bolts at Link if it is directly across from him. The next hall consists of a conveyor belt with traps and Baris. The red Baris split apart when cut.

Link next takes the stairway to 1F (time 2:49). The chest with the dungeon Map is here. Past the bombable wall to the east is a fairy spring. Past the bombable wall to the west is a chest with a second Key.

Link then retraces his route to the room northeast of the entrance (time 4:44). The statue to the center room can be pushed out of the way so that Link can go through the locked door to the north. In the room to the north, he bombs a hole in the western bridge and falls down to B1 (time 5:03).

After raiding the pots, he takes the locked stairs to the north-central part of the previous room, where he collects a Big Key from the chest. Then, he falls back to the room below again. The western skull pot hides a switch that reveals a switch with a Key. To evade the enemies that fall in, he quickly takes the teleport tile to the northwest.

He soon returns to the room north of the entrance and from there to the room that had the Big Key (time 5:58). This time, he goes to the eastern bridge, pushes the blocks out of the way and goes through to the room to the north. The chest right there on the bridge contains a Key. The arrow at the northern end of the platform allows Link to jump across to the north. Then, he heads west and north through the western door.

In the room to the northwest (time 6:24), the narrow bridge will break apart from south to north. It is guarded by Helmasaurs. At the northern end, Link goes through the locked western door. The darkened maze in the next room is patrolled by Kodondos. In the northwest corner is a chest with some Bombs (time 6:53). In the southeast corner is a chest with a Key (time 7:15).

Along the southern part of the eastern wall is a bombable wall (time 7:22). Past it, Link finds the big chest with the dungeon's treasure, the Magic Hammer. It allows Link to pound stakes into the ground, which will allow him to reach areas that he could not previously.

Back in the northern section, Link heads east through the door that he did not take previously (time 8:09). The Magic Hammer will knock Terrorpins on their backs so that Link can damage them, but when they get back on their feet, they will move faster. The chest contains the dungeon's Compass.

The stairways in the back lead down to the dark room before the boss chamber, but the boss cannot be reached from there (time 8:35). The chests at the southern end contain Arrows and a Key.

Back upstairs, Link goes through the locked door to the south (time 9:13). The chest contains 5 Rupees. The statue on the west side can be pushed so that Link can avoid damage from the traps. The door to the south leads him back to the room with Hardhat Beetles. After getting rid of these nasty critters, Link can trigger the southern switch to lower the blue barriers.

Then, he exits east (time 10:18). The room beyond has skull pots at the northern end of the room. Under the northeastern one is a switch. To keep it depressed, Link must drag a statue onto it. It also helps to make the switch orange before going through. The room to the north contains more Goriyas.

To the north, there is a room with an orange barrier to the east (time 11:22). Past it, there is a statue that must be shot with an arrow to open the way forwards.

Description continued in the comments.
