The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Japanese Version (Part 23)
WARNING: PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION
We have reached Part 23 of the Japanese Version of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time"!
So far, I've learned 11 of the 12 Ocarina songs, collected 68 Gold Skulltula Tokens, obtained all four Bottles, gotten 31 Heart Pieces (28 completing 7 Heart Containers), etc.!
Last time, I conquered the Gerudo Thieves' Hideout and rescued the four carpenters that were imprisoned; following that, I played the Horseback Archery (first to collect Heart Piece #31, then to get the Biggest Quiver for a maximum of 50 Arrows in my Fairy Bow).
I will get started with Part 23 by leaving Gerudo's Fortress to collect two more Gold Skulltula Tokens (#69 is on the arrow-shaped arch, then #70 is behind the Carpenters' Tent). After both tokens have been collected, I briefly talk to the owner, then enter the tent and talk to the carpenters themselves, followed by the running man. I WILL NOT play the Running Man's game, as it's not really worth it! Once all of that is done, I will use the Megaton Hammer to break open the rocks that were blocking the Treasure Chest behind them. Inside this chest is a Purple Rupee (worth 50).
Now, I will return to the Gerudo Fortress and climb up the ladder; at the top, the Gerudo will open the gate, allowing us to go through it. Once done, I must solve two trials in order to reach the end; first, I must follow the trail of flags, and when I reach the end, I will go down an area below. Here, is another Gold Skulltula, and I will destroy it to collect Token #71.
Next, I will climb up and head for the top of the section; here, I must use the Lens of Truth to follow the Poe and have her lead me to exactly where I need to go. Once I reach the end (with the ghost's help), I will arrive at the Desert Colossus; just ahead is the Spirit Temple, which I will be entering later.
Now that I'm at the colossus, I will go right and use a Bomb on the breakable wall between two palm trees. I go inside and enter the Great Fairy's Fountain. She grants us the 3rd and final spell, known as Nayru's Love. This spell becomes a barrier, which you can use to shield yourself from attacks.
With this spell, I will now go to a certain spot where Navi suddenly turns green. Here, I will play the Song of Storms; once done, it will rain on that certain spot, which becomes a narrow pool. Fairies appear in this pool and I heal myself with them. Next, I will go to where one of the palm trees is near the pool and destroy another Gold Skulltula to collect Token #72.
I will now briefly enter the Spirit Temple. However, I cannot do anything here because Adult Link cannot go left and the block on the right is too heavy for him to push. I read the signs, then quickly exit; Sheik appears from out of nowhere and tells Link that we MUST change him back into a child. To officially enter the Spirit Temple, I must complete every task as Young Link first; so, to do this, Sheik will teach us our final Ocarina song of the game. Ocarina Song #12--and #6 of all the warping songs--is called the Requiem of Spirit.
Now that we've learned this Ocarina song, I am now going to warp to the Temple of Time by playing the Prelude of Light, then drop the Master Sword to return Link to Child Form. Now, I will exit this temple and head for the Mask Shop to exchange the Skull Mask for the Mask of Truth; from there, I will exit the Hyrule Castle Town Market and I will play the Nocturne of Shadow to warp to the Graveyard. Here, I will quickly leave and head for Kakariko Village so that I can use up one of the Bottles that had a Fairy, then quickly return to fill that bottle--as well as another one--with Bugs.
From this point on, I will be collecting tons of Gold Skulltula Tokens. As I do, I will be warping here and there, all around Hyrule playing every Ocarina song; AND I will sometimes change the time of day with the Sun's Song.
NOTE 1: Every time I empty my bottles, I will fill them up again by purchasing more Bugs at the Hyrule Castle Town Market
NOTE 2: You can plant the Magic Beans and put the Bugs inside the Soft Soil either way, but I would recommend the Bugs first, then the Magic Beans
Tokens that I will collect are:
1. #73 - Graveyard [Soft Soil]
2. #74 - Graveyard [Near Shadow Temple entrance]
3. #75 - Death Mountain Crater [Soft Soil]; I forgot to plant the Magic Bean, so I will return here later on to use it
4. #76 - Hyrule Castle [Hidden hole; play the Song of Storms]
5. #77 - Lake Hylia [Area where Fire Arrows were as Adult Link]
6. #78 - Lake Hylia [Soft Soil]
7. #79 - Lake Hylia [Near Lakeside Laboratory]
8. #80 - Lost Woods [Soft Soil/Near secret hole]
9. #81 - Kokiri Forest [Soft Soil]
10. #82 - Kokiri Forest [Near Know-it-All Brothers' House]
In total, I have collected a whopping 14 Gold Skulltula Tokens in this video! I will collect some more tokens next time!
This completes Part 23! See you guys next time for Part 24!
