The Lydian Mode Challenge: Piano improvisation using only one mode.
A simple piano improvisation using notes from the Lydian scale. What makes a mode of the major scale sound different from other modes? They all contain the same notes. Practicing free play over a single mode is a great way of practicing ear training and learning how and why the mode works.
