The Magic School Bus Explores the Solar System (100%) in 8:28 [World Record]
In this speedrun, you gotta beat the nine platforming stages for each planet before finding Ms. Frizzle. The jump physics are hilariously floaty. This run was great; I determined that the two seconds loss at the beginning was due to a bad load, which is fine.
Specifics:
*By memorizing the first few words of the clues for each planet, you can instantly determine where she is and play that planet last. "Footprints", as in this run, obviously corresponds with the Moon.
*I play Mars first because the very first jump from the single gray block to the stack of three is actually pretty tight.
*You can jump through the stack of blocks on Pluto if you slide into them, jump, then rapidly tap the right directional key. This works because normally if your character gets too close to these blocks, they begin a pushing animation whose hitbox is the same width as the one for jumping. In this situation, the pushing animation is bypassed and since your standing hitbox is narrower, jumping will instantly put part of you inside the wall.
