The Messy 25th Birthday Stream No One Cared About
18This was a pretty poorly executed stream where I showed off my upcoming mod - Nightmare Difficulty, which makes the game almost Kaizo-like, but I added a challenge on top of that. Every time I died, I switched to Sly 3 and defeated one guard in the One Woman Army MTC for every year I've been alive, a birthday tradition I've kept going for a few years now. Eventually I dropped that part and just played/tested the mod, because I wanted to show it off uninterrupted, and I'd explain the 25 guards part eventually!
The mod adds a thick fog that leaves very little to the senses, making it super hard (but not impossible) to tell where you are. There's lots of other things on top of that, like charms, lives, and coins being forced to zero, adding one-hit game overs. There's also the really evil action of disabling autosaving, as well as a maximum of one race boost, not getting anything from safes or defeating bosses, the "sneaking sound" happening all the time and not just near guards, and much more! If I had the money for an All Keys bounty, I'd do that. The mod also isn't done, there's some technical limitations preventing me from adding the other features I wanted to add, like making the fog white everywhere, and making some bosses tougher. It'll happen eventually. The mod is going to be released during a "mod jam" that the modding community is holding, where we all sumbit a pnach mod and they get voted on. Parts of this stream will appear in the demonstration video.
Oh and did I mention that despite enabling "Live Chat" and "Live Chat Replay", chat just didn't save at all? Yeah I won't be streaming on YouTube anymore. 15+ second delay with Ultra Low Latency mode, studio constantly throwing errors at me, and basic features just not working at all - my future streams will not be here. I'll announce them here though.
