We return to Sunbreak where we are now tackling our first Afflicted monster. For anyone who has played Monster Hunter in the past this is the new modified end-game version for the roster. MH4U has frenzied monsters, MHGU has Hyper monsters, World and Iceborne had tempered and Sunbreak features Afflicted monsters. Think of it like mix of hyper and frenzy into one. The monsters can deal much more damage, have a super-inflated health pool, and might have a new move to unleash against us. But they've also got weak spots to aim and hit for some bonus damage and if enough are broken the monster enters an exhausted state. This might be the best end-game modifier yet though time will tell just how long the modifier feels fresh for or if it stales out quickly after repeated grinding.
