Normally I dread new O3DE releases. It generally means 12-24 hours of me fighting with the build system, the installer and the project to even get a demo up and running. With the release of O3DE 24.09, all of that is a thing of the past. This release is the biggest step forward of this open source AAA game engine, based off Lumberyard and CryEngine before that, and is the closest to being ready for prime time the engine has ever been.
