The Gameboy Color is an awesome system. After 10 years of monochrome Nintendo graced us with a color display boasting 36 different colors which not only brought new games specifically designed with the color, but added a splash of color to older games.
The only drawback was that it didn't have a backlight. While LCD mods have been a thing since 2008, we now have one of the best options for the Gameboy Color; an OLED screen.
I took this opportunity to make the Perfect Gameboy Color. I installed Tactile buttons, a rechargeable battery, louder speaker, and a modern power regulator. I go over why I made it and why you should to.
