How much have Virtual Boy Prices changed since 2004? [Retronomics]
The Nintendo Virtual Boy was released in 1994 and discontinued a year later in 1995. There were 14 games released in North America making it one of the smallest libraries in video game history. But just because the Virtual Boy was a failure doesn't mean it doesn't have its fans. In 2025 a complete set of complete in box virtual boy games and the console will run you 4200 dollars.
But in 2004 they were significantly less. I take a look through Digital Press Advance which served as a collector resource for a variety of systems. The guide gives descriptions of games and suggested prices gamers should pay for said games.
I compare the prices in 2004 with the prices today in 2025. What changed? What didn't? Find out.
