When the Warmaster Horus declared his rebellion against his father, the Emperor commanded all loyalist planets to send warriors and machines to aid in supressing the traitor forces.

Many complied, but one in particular did not heed the call. The industrial world of Vostroya instead argued that they could better serve the Emperor by devoting their efforts to the manufacturing of weapons and vehicles for his armies.

Needless to say, when the Heresy was quashed, and the Emperor’s mortally wounded body was placed onto the Golden Throne, judgement eventually fell on Vostroya and its people.
