This is video #050 in my gameplay series of The Outer Worlds for the Sony PlayStation 4. This is video 10 covering "Peril on Gorgon". The Outer Worlds is rated M for blood and gore, intense violence, and strong language.

The party is currently working on "Peril on Gorgon", the first DLC expansion. Previously, for the main quest "We, in Spacer's Choice's Employ...", the party explored the horrors of Human Inquiry & Auditing. They also found a phonograph for the side quest "The Electric Fling". Eventually, they reached Dr. Marion Blakeslee's terminal and issued HIA's part of the override on the Synthesis & Manufactory Center's lockdown. Then, they made their way to the CHEM Lab Upper Exterior entrance in the west of Gorgon. Now, the party will explore the CHEM Lab for the main quest "Experiment Perilous" and lift the other part of the override on SMC. They will also wrap up "The Electric Fling".
Gorgon Canyon:
The party resumes just outside the CHEM Lab Upper Exterior entrance. They examine the Aural Scanner next to the door and play Dr. Low's audio recording. Then, they enter the Compound Harvesting, Enrichment, & Molecularization Lab.
Compound Harvesting, Enrichment, & Molecularization Lab (time 2:26):
Entering the lab concludes the objective to access the CHEM Lab for "Experiment Perilous". The next objective is to send the Override Authorization at the terminal in Dr. Jasper Low's office. There is also an optional objective to unlock Security Office Hall.
The party starts in the lobby on floor 4/4. There are dead Marauders and destroyed automechanicals here. The party uses the terminal and views some messages.
As the party starts down the hallway to the east, the Mysterious Figure addresses them again. Oh, they're siccing mechanicals on us? Excuse me while I equip a weapon that deals shock damage.
The hallway leads to the Subterranean Cavern. The party can take the southern lift to the floor of the cavern itself, or they can take the eastern ramp down to the catwalks on floor 3/4. They take the catwalk for now. There are Mechanical Sentries patrolling the cavern floor, and a Scrap Mechanical is patrolling the circular area in the middle of the catwalk. Best to fight them one at a time, if possible.
The party first heads west to the main lab, accessible from the western part of the catwalk. A couple of mechanicals are within. One terminal is in the southwestern cubicle, but it only has a couple of messages on it. Another terminal is in the western cubicle.
In the storage room just west of the main lab, there is a storage bin that requires Lockpicking 150. The party also finds the phonograph "To Roscoe". This is actually a message from Roscoe's associate, Georgie. Taking it concludes the objective to retrieve the phonograph in the CHEM Lab Storage Room for "The Electric Fling". Based on information in this phonograph, the next objective is to retrieve the phonograph at the GPO in the ravine—that is, the Garbage Processing Office in the Chemical Waste Ravine. The party has found all four phonographs Roscoe has asked them to get, so the objective to return the phonographs to Roscoe is also added.
The party returns to the catwalk in the Subterranean Cavern. To the north, they find a building with a locker room. On the floor in the locker room, they find the phonograph "Ambrose Lab Notes #1". This one is actually a bit funny.
In a locker, the party also finds the Jasper's Storage Key quest item. This opens the storage closet in Dr. Low's office.
In the northwest of the locker room, there is a locked door that requires Lockpicking 65. Behind it is a storage room with a few goodies.
Upstairs from the locker room, there is a break room on floor 4/4. In the kitchen, there is a locked bin that requires Lockpicking 105.
The party returns to the Subterranean Cavern catwalk on floor 3/4. The catwalk leads east to the Security Door, but there is an electric tripwire along the way. To disable the trap, the party can shoot a device on the ceiling above the tripwire.
Then, the party heads down and explores the cavern floor. The southern exit leads down to the Lower Cavern on floor 2/4, but the party does not go that way yet.
In the east of the Subterranean Cavern on floor 3/4, the party enters Material Processing. A couple more mechanicals patrol this room. On a cart, the party finds the phonograph "Ambrose Lab Notes #2". Compound X sounds like nasty stuff. The party finds the Material Processing terminal in the southeast.
The party unlocks the door to Security with the CHEM Lab Security Pass that Jasper provided them. This concludes the optional objective to unlock Security Office Hall. Look out for a series of traps along the hall. There are a couple of electric tripwires, as well as a few traps along the walls.
