Time loops have a very specific appeal for me, in the opportunities they give a story to explore so much in such a limited space. They imagine worlds and histories that could have been, on a grand and inconsequential scale. They experiment and play with every variable of daily life, for better and for worse. They present their characters with every chance to do anything right, and wrong, just to see what could happen. And, while arguing that it’s been “overlooked” is probably a bit presumptuous, it’s not something I’ve seen discussed in detail, so today, I want to do just that, and break down what I think makes this particular storytelling trope so interesting!
