WonderSteam, N-Gabe, Valvita: you can call it whatever you like because Valve have made their intentions clear. They’re keen to elbow their way into the handheld market with the Valve Steam Deck. Of course, Headline & Hot Takes has loads of chat on it. We talk a little on who the Valve Deck is for, we speculate on whether or not developers are going to be taking the Steam Deck PC into consideration when making their games, and we chat about how the Steam Deck Switch… excuse me… the Steam Switch… whoops… we chat about how the Steam Deck looks. Got there eventually. We also discuss the chatter around Netflix moving into video games, and we’ve got some EA Play Live 2021 predictions for you, too.
For Show and Tell, Colm brought Death’s Door to the discussion. It’s a little Zelda, a little Dark Souls, and loads of crow. You can see that for yourself in our Death’s Door gameplay. Colm thinks this game is brilliant, and you should play it. But you can hear that in his Death’s Door review. Meanwhile, Matthew wasn’t quite as hot on the first few hours of JRPG Cris Tales, but the time-travelling mechanic definitely has him intrigued. Have a look at it in action in his Cris Tales gameplay, and check out his thoughts in his Cris Tales impressions. I also played a little bit of the new Streets Of Rage 4 DLC. It’s Streets Of Rage 4. So, I like it. You can see it in action in our Streets Of Rage Mr X’s Nightmare gameplay.
This week's Mystery Steam Reviews is all about video games that have one word titles. And we round out the show by opening The Weekspot mailbag to answer your Burning Questions on Bounty bars, the first game we finished, and sounds.
