The Plan for Vampires - The Wintervale Saga - Episode 46
11Last time, the party had found themselves deep within a fiery cavern deep below the supposed lair of the White Dragon. Bell, having run off to chase an Imp before it alerted anymore forces, found himself captured and trapped within a crystal prison.
The rest of the party followed, dealing with more Hell Hounds, bats, and Imps. Even a large Chimera stood in their way, but with a powerful charm spell from Evelyn, they were able to save on resources by defeating their enemies one at a time with barely any opposition, besides Captain Ryudo who was too busy playing with Fire Puppies and getting his limbs chewed off.
Following the battle, a teleporter sent the party to the deepest depths of the fiery cave, where a trio of Salamanders and a colossal sized elemental of fire slowly being summoned were waiting for them. Their proposition was simple: to give themselves to the flame.
Having none of that, the party took down the Salamanders and continued their onslaught on the enormous elemental. With a combination of several powerful water and Ice attacks, it gradually lost power until it could no longer sustain itself, crumbling down and resealing what appeared to be a gateway to the Elemental Plane of Fire, which had mysteriously opened up in the mountain and was beginning to spread.
With it closed, the bitter cold of Wintervale immediately took hold, turning the lava-filled caves into a freezing cavern of ice once more.
With Bell saved and the treasure procured before the salamanders could melt it all down into weapons and armor, the party made it back to the Pirate Ship and prepared their next move.
