*****Throwback Thursday live gameplay, with my personal history of the game as well as some fun facts as I revisit these classics.*****

This episode, I revisit the sequel to the arcade hit and classic, Shinobi. I didn't like The Revenge of Shinobi (as it was known in the U.S.) in the 90's. In 2023, it is STILL a poorly designed game that needed play testing. I know there are a lot of Sega fans that will disagree with my assessment, and that's ok. I have given this game many chances throughout my life and it fails to grab me at all. I loved the first game, and it's sequel not only disappointed me, but fails to be entertaining and fun. If this were a game to come out now, it would earn a 4/10 rating, below average with minimal things it does right.

With all that said, what Genesis does that NintenDon't, was lose the massive lead in the console wars by making mistake after mistake. A lead they would never regain by making further mistakes like release the Saturn prematurely, then the Dreamcast. This is how a hardware/software publisher ends up knocked down to a mere 3rd party publisher...
