Override wants to be one of those prototypical PC Engine shmups I guess, with lots of fast tiny sprites and constant weapon switching.

One different thing is that if you don't fire for an unlikely length of time, your ship will build up a big burst of firepower that unleashes in a single bomb-strength shot (you'll see me do that right at the beginning of the video, much to my own surprise).
