The Simpsons: Bart vs. The Space Mutants [Genesis] - Journey #257 (1/2)
0The Simpsons: Bart vs. The Space Mutants is a weird puzzle-platformer mesh where you, playing as Bart, is supposed to obstruct a bunch of aliens' grand scheme to take over the world. In this first level, you do so by making sure purple items are either hidden or change color (perfectly logical, eh?). The game features pretty decent graphics, pretty bad controls and a really bad soundtrack. The puzzles are also pretty lame, with some of the solutions very obscure or sometimes very pixel perfect (and sometimes both).
Needless to say, this makes for a pretty darn annoying experience a lot of the time. Many times the solution was pretty much exactly what I was trying to do, but I missed the exact pixel to do it. Other times, the puzzle was pretty far fetched, and required a very specific series of actions to solve. It was also easy to end up in a "dead man walking" situation, where you just couldn't complete the level since you ran out of resources. I am not too much of a fan of this game :D
