The Sinner’s Prayer Lie | Vain Repetition of the Heathen
3Ever since America hijacked Christianity with its numerous sacrilegious Bible translations and celebrity charismatics who have turned the church into some sort of commerce which Jesus was furious about, this fabricated, wicked and blatantly deliberate lie known as the sinner’s prayer has now found its way into almost every Evangelical church you visit these days.
Don’t get me wrong, I know from experience that of all the denominations Evangelicals are clearly the closest to God and getting saved, but it’s for this very reason that they’re being targeted, and it’s with wicked lies like this, which they always have an excuse for, of course; they find a snippet of scripture taken out of context or in some cases mistranslated (hence the plethora of new American translations) and then they go town deceiving you with their seemingly sound teaching, which it isn’t. Here’s why:
Acts 2:21 is the scripture they use. They use this scripture out of context (as always) about calling on the Lord. However, in the same book of the New Testament, Acts 22:16 explains that calling on the name of the Lord involves being baptized and washing away your sins. I must admit, I was baptized before I got saved but I wouldn’t say that it is absolutely necessary. It’s a faithful covenant and huge commitment which will definitely help and I highly recommend everyone does, but you get saved when you wholeheartedly love Christ, as I mention in the Salvation chapter of my book Jericho. That doesn’t necessarily require a baptism but it does require the same level of commitment. A very powerful worship service can do that, a huge revelation can do that, or perhaps a massive breakdown where you’ve then decided I need to sort my life out and I’m prepared to find Christ. These are moments when people commit themselves entirely. That’s when you get saved. When you stop being lukewarm you get saved. When Jesus comes a knocking and you let him in you get saved. Massive demonstrations of faith are how you bypass the other prerequisites like baptism to then receive the instantaneous grace of God, but not just reciting a prayer. This is a false teaching, it’s demonic, and on the contrary it draws people away from being faithful.
You need to make a genuine life changing decision to follow Jesus. Repeating a sinner’s prayer is not doing that, it’s not sincere enough, and it’s certainly not faithful enough. And no, being sincere and faithful isn’t works okay, before any of you try and go there. Doing this properly is a big deal, okay. Having enough faith and conviction to say yes, I’m ready to do this now, I’m ready to change everything about my life and wholeheartedly follow Christ is a big deal, and to shrug it off by saying just read this is evil; it’s sending people straight to hell and they don’t know it.
Make no mistake, this is done on purpose. This is spiritual wickedness in high places, as Ephesians 6:12 warns. Like I said, it’s the most important thing, how to get saved, and they teach you something that’s not even in the Bible, something that’s not even out of context but a complete fabrication using snippets of scripture. It’s so evil. And think about it, there’s no financial purpose for what they’re doing here, it’s a spiritual one folks. This is spiritual warfare.
