Hating the Government is Unrighteous | Be subject to your masters, honour the King (1 Peter 2:17-18)
5Probably the biggest concern I have noticed with people today is their utter resentment and hate for the government, which has reached very high and unhealthy, even, levels. This hate originating from dangerous conspiracy theories has now spread its sphere of influence in what has become known as the woke generation, which had better be short-lived, for all your sakes.
This is completely unrighteous and unacceptable behaviour, most of which is completely uncalled for. And the reason I’m doing this video even though I’ve done videos on this before is because of how bad it is and how much it has spread. We are talking about a very large percentage of the population now who will even misquote scripture, namely about the mark of the beast, as though they can use the Word of God to justify their ranting and raving, which is a complete insult to God and other Christians - and it’s unprofessional. Their voices are now being heard and they are inciting this sheer hatred amongst other brethren.
I once heard Alex Jones rant, “I don’t see Christians out rioting in the streets like they should.” Yeah, I’ll tell you why that is Alex: that’s because they’re Christians, and the Bible does very clearly specify not to do this and everything else you’ve been doing since you decided to despise government and riot in the streets like the brute beast that you are (2 Peter 2:10-13). So no, they shouldn’t be doing that at all, which is why we aren’t. And even if there is something afoot with the government, let’s say they’re intentionally doing something wrong, the Bible still teaches us to be subject to our masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. (1 Peter 2:18), so that we may be held blameless and have a clear conscience, not leading others astray and into insubordination, as is definitely the case. Additionally, Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and turn the other cheek. So, you’re 100% wrong whichever way you look at it. All this hatred isn’t the answer, and I shouldn’t have to tell you that. But I do. The conspiracy theorists are still extremely hateful, and it’s affecting others.
What I find most shocking about these belligerents who hate the government so much is that they all seem to be on benefits, believe it or not. A lot of them are unemployed, hence why they have the time to riot in the streets, biting off the hand that feeds them like complete hypocrites. Being as controversial as possible, starting argument for arguments sake. What none of them seem to realise or have even considered is that it is their controversial leaders who are deceiving them. They are sending you down the wrong path, wittingly, and I don’t think you fully appreciate how unrighteous these protests are, which is why I’m doing this video again.
Let’s go through some more scripture, shall we? And remember, this is within context throughout the Bible. There are myriad verses, and in some cases whole chapters specifying this very thing:
2 Peter Chapter 2 begins by warning you of these particular false prophets and teachers, the ones who despise government and riot in the streets.
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you (2 Peter 2:10-13, KJV).
