The Suicide Squad BOMBS! Is the DCEU Officially TOAST?
4,993James Gunn's The Suicide Squad bombs at the box office with only a $26 million opening. You COULD blame the pandemic and HBO Max, but Space Jam 2 made more money with a similar release schedule. HBO Max claims it was the second most streamed movie in the streamer's history, behind Mortal Kombat. But you have to take their word for it.
This is the second movie with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn that utterly failed at the box office, despite critical acclaim.
