29This was a big book for us when we discovered it. Growing up in the era of Transformers and Robotech we were bombarded early on with giant robot toys, and both Sparkletrout and myself continued to have an interest in them as we got older.
When a lot of the early toy collecting websites popped up on the net, this was one of those books that was always suggested to help figure out where all the various robot toys originated from.
Nearly 25 years later it's still a pretty cool book to flip through. It's neat to see how many of these characters have had resurgences and new figures released based on them, and those which are best left forgotten.
I wish we'd see more of these types of designs for the tabletop. Oh how I've wanted a Super Robot skirmish game!
