Bandai HG plastic Cybaster! バンダイ HG サイバスター プラモデル!
40It finally arrived and I finally got it built!
My favorite original mecha from the Super Robot Wars games, the iconic poster boy of the series alongside all the old guard of various anime franchises, the Cybaster's design is what got me curious about the games in the first place. I spent many hours playing through the SNES entries as well as the PS1 games, and you could guarantee I'd be fielding Masaki's mech.
I'd been wanting a plastic kit of this for YEARS. I actually owned an old Banpresto prize model in the late 90s but it was pretty simplistic. I had the original Kotobuikya kit but the joints disintegrated and his binders would NEVER stay on. The SD version Koto made satisfied me for a while, but FINALLY we get a plastic version that does this mech justice.
Everything is nice and sturdy, transformation mode is included, extra stands for that as well as the familiars... you've got just about all you need here. Sure there's some stickers involved, but they're easily painted over and give you a pretty game accurate model in the end.
Man do I hope Bandai continue putting out more SRW kits!
