The Sword of Valor is a trap!! | Episode 41 | Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous Let's Play
4Welcome to my Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous playthrough! In this forty-first episode, we enter the Citadel's Dungeons in our search for the Sword of Valor, the banner that will significantly weaken the demons.
Once inside the dungeons, the party is immediately confronted with incessant whispers that slowly drive them mad.
We find an old woman which turns out to be Yaniel, one of the most revered heroes of the first crusade. The original owner of Cauldar's sword Radiance.
It is a surprise to all that she is still alive, even though barely. She endured daily torture for over 70 years. Even Paralictor Regill is impressed with that!
A little while later we find another hero of the crusades whose body we can sanctify. On the walls of the room, we find the source of the incessant whispers.
At first, the party fails to comprehend the magical texts on the walls which summons more and more ghosts to attack them. Luckily, Ember is able to translate the text in the end which ends the whispers.
Another person we certainly didn't expect to meet here is Joran Vhane, the brother of Staunton. The blacksmith made the decision to switch sides so he could be with his brother.
Joran clearly knows that Staunton was in the wrong and deserves whatever punishment is coming to him. But, at the same time, he refuses to give up on Staunton. His stubbornness is such that he leaves us no option but to kill him. Another unfortunate victim of the crusades.
Many more fights later, the party enters a room with a large banner hanging from the ceiling. The Sword of Valor has been found, but can it really be that easy?
The Commander is certainly suspicious and rightfully so! The banner teleports away while a boatload of demons appears in the room.
It's a trap!!
Will the party successfully fight them off??

We want you to feel the scale of the conflict in Wrath of the Righteous with the Crusade system—a new strategic layer of gameplay built specifically for this adventure. At a certain point in the game, you will be granted command of the Fifth Crusade: a grand push against the demons. From that point on, you venture forth not only with your party but by recruiting troops and their leaders. Gradually you will build up armies of thousands and march them across the Worldwound to seize back the territories and their treasures from the enemy.
