The Starbound 1.0 Survival Mode Playthrough continues as we get a new Glitch tenant and set off for a different forest planet in the same system only to land in the middle of an eye biome (an “eyepatch”). Spooky! Come and let's play more Survival Mode Starbound 1.0!

The Starbound 1.0 Playthrough sees us build out a new room for another Glitch tenant and then head to a totally new planet (also a forest planet). We find an eyepatch, some sweet gear, and then stumble on to an Avian temple. Time to raid some tombs! This is what Starbound 1.0 should be like—delightful discoveries on alien worlds and emergent stories. Join me for crafting, building, and exploring!

Welcome back to the Starbound 1.0 playthrough and guide! It’s time to explore the forest planet, steal some furniture, and complete some quests. Come and join me for more Starbound 1.0 gameplay as I continue on my (almost) blind playthrough and guide.

On a previous episode of the Starbound 1.0 Playthrough, we came across a surprise. In that episode of the blind walkthrough of Starbound 1.0 survival mode, I put away everything I gathered from the Glitch dungeon while trying to rescue the Floran and get use my tungsten to build an Environmental Protection Pack (EPP) so I can head to a moon and harvest erchius crystal for my FTL drive. Of course, I immediately got killed by an Erchius Ghost, but that’s what can happen in this game. On the next episode, I fired up the FTL drive and jumped to a new system. There, I found a jungle world and, among other things, found a parked Avian airship offering tons of side quests to take on. With every new quest, I come closer and closer to taking the airship apart, so let’s play Starbound 1.0 blind some more! In fact, there’s even more reason now that we have a golden Glitch staying in our Settlement. The Starbound 1.0 Playthrough continues as we bring another crewmember on board and get our first ship upgrade!

Do you want to explore, fight, trade, and survive in space? Do you want to explore a vast, procedurally generated universe filled with randomly generated monsters, biomes, resource formations, and NPCs? Do you want to fight intergalactic evils and plumb the depths of unmapped caves and dungeons? Then come play Starbound! From a junky ship floating over an unknown world you build out a base, upgrades for your gear, and set out to explore the universe! Along the way, you build colonies, recruit crew, and find out that the universe isn't so empty after all.

Afterwork Gaming ("Tonight, we game!") was created so that I can share interesting games with you all via playthroughs, walkthroughs, and guides. I decided my first series should be Starbound 1.0 playthrough and guide.

In Starbound, you create your own story - there’s no wrong way to play! You may choose to save the universe from the forces that destroyed your home, uncovering greater galactic mysteries in the process, or you may wish to forego a heroic journey entirely in favor of colonizing uncharted planets.

Starbound has been built from the ground up to be multiplayer and easily moddable. You have the tools to make the universe your own and modify the game to suit your play style - add new races, biomes, dungeons, and quests - the possibilities are limitless.
