The Typing of the Dead: Overkill playthrough Part 1
The Typing of the Dead. Those had to have been some interesting meetings when someone at Sega decided to take their light gun game, and turn it into a typing tutorial. And, though I didn't know this before, it was actually released that way in arcades, in Japan. I had thought that they only made it like this for the Dreamcast, to showcase that the console had a keyboard attachment. Color me surprised.
The beautiful thing is, it works. It really does. I do wish I had an actual light gun for the original version of Overkill, which this includes, but the typing portion works pretty well. In fact, it's probably easier than using the gun, to be honest. Even with the amount of mistakes I was making. And this game is fun. Really bad, cheesy writing - intentionally so - a good rail shooter, lots of little collectibles to get as well, yea. I am having loads of fun. Enough that, even though I planed to only show the game a bit, I am gonna try to finish it tomorrow. Fun times! -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
