This was the trickiest map to pistol start in KDITD. Right at the beginning you get swarmed by hitscanners, imps, and pinkies, and the pistol just isn’t going to take care of them. You’ll have to run out and grab a shotgun, but be quick about it because that first room is stacked with enemies.

Things get easier when you make it to the big nukage room, because three of the four secrets are there and one of them is a supercharge. By that point you’ll probably have killed the most dangerous mobs, so the rest of the map should go more smoothly.

I like the atmosphere of this map too, it’s pretty dark and ominous with the perfect music track to fit it. It also kind of combines ideas from all of the previous maps, so it works as a climax for KDITD.
