This is one of the first maps where the pistol start really matters. On a continuous run you could waste the Pinkies and the two Barons of Hell with a rocket launcher, but since you only get a shotgun and chaingun, you have to do it the long way.
The biggest threat here isn’t actually the barons, but the mob of spectres you face alongside them. They can gang up on you pretty quickly and I almost died to them, but you can use infighting with the barons and the group of exploding barrels in the arena to take out a lot of them. Once they’re gone, the barons are too slow to be a big threat, it’s just a matter of whittling them down with the chaingun.
