We are officially 2 months removed from Hangman Page losing the AEW World Championship to CM Punk at AEW Double or Nothing 2022. And sadly, we did not get to see CM Punk's reign all the way through as he had to vacate (kinda) his championship due to injury. One thing is for sure however, coming out of Hangman losing to CM Punk. You didn't see too many fans talking about Hangman's reign in some glorious light.

While some have an appreciation for the consistent matches he put on, his storylines and championship timeline as a whole left alot to be desired. In this video essay, we tackle not only Hangman as the champion, but what led to it, and the potential aftermath.

NOTE: This video was taped a month ago. So the outro is a bit outdated with me giving my predictions for Punk as the Champion. But you will get a bit of insight on what I expected.
