Did you know how Captain Panaka got his name? In The Phantom Menace, Captain Panaka was played by British actor Hugh Quarshie. His character was never given a name in the script, but Quarshie slipped a little ad-lib in to give his character a name. Then Claudia Gray brought that over into canon when she mentioned him in her novel Leia, Princess of Alderaan.
