George Romero is a legend among horror fans. On the surface level he's started the modern zombie movement back in the 60s, and many still love his films just for that aspect. For the people that love to analyze films, there can be a lot messaging in his films, particularly ones on the socio-political topics. I find Land of the Dead to be one of the most obvious cases of this. I felt like this film explored the 3 class divides between the upper human class, the lower human class, and the zombie class. With this divide, it felt like this film was practically showing a working class, or proletariat, revolution. This film was even more incredible when I realized this.
