Tingle is one of the oddities of the Zelda franchise. Hated in the west, it is not as well known that there are a few spin off games starring him. Two of them are made by Vanpool who have an indirect connection to making games like Moon, Chrono Trigger, and Super Mario RPG. They were extremely interesting games to me because they both reached an overt topic that I didn't expect. These 2 DS games are titled Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, and Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love.

The manosphere may be a new term, but get rich/get laid quick schemes are as old as time itself. These games subverts standard game mechanics and even affects you, the player, to show the flaws of such grifts. This video essay not only shows the connection between these games and those grifts, but the partial nature as to why younger men tend to fall for them.
