There Are No Startup Items to Display; Startup Items Not Appearing in Task Manager [Solution]

Do not worry if the startup items are missing from the startup tab on task manager and you get the “there are no startup items to display” message, there is no big issue with your system.

The problem lies only in the task manager not displaying your startup items, and not in the startup or Windows itself.

This message appears on task manager when there is no Startup folder in the Start Menu. This was likely caused by deleting empty folders in your start menu.

The Task Manager Startup tab may show the message “There are no startup items to display” if the Startup folder or the Common Startup folder has been deleted from your computer. This may be the minor side-effect of deleting empty folders en masse using a third-party program or script.
