There is more to RIV than meets the eye
295This short is from my video playing 1000 Years of Stellaris. it follows one of the astral rifts I explored near the beginning of my game. We opened our second rift and traveled inside. Immediately a strange mechanical device propelled itself towards us and stated it was our advisor named RIV. As we considered what to write for our report, the advisor asked us if we would like assistance. Which we agreed. It then told us at the center of star systems are stars and they are very bright. We continued prompting it hoping it would move on to more complex subjects however it soon completely overwhelmed Rhass the scientist in charge. He became attached to Riv and he chose to stay behind in the rift. Then without warning Rhass reappeared on one of our ships. His lifespan was increased and he had several new abilities. He then decided to run for office in our government and was elected as leader. Strangely enough, he now has an irrational fear of instruction manuals. He also brought Riv with him and I mistakenly accepted Riv as my advisor, and riv began to pester me for the rest of the video.
