Why is this massive creature so sad? :(
This short is from my video playing 1000 Years of Stellaris. it follows one of the astral rifts I explored near the beginning of my game. We entered another rift. Immediately sensors indicated a great amount of pressure. We were underwater. We activated our thrusters and began descending. We traveled through the waters for several hours but noted no perceivable change in our surroundings. We activated our FTL drives and jumped to the surface. We discovered we were in one of many planet-sized bubbles. A strange crystalline object as massive as a star floated in the system. Fragments of minerals shifted inside. Occasionally bubbles of water escaped the strange mechanism. After cycling through various radio frequencies we discovered the machine was emitting a terrible wailing. We then asked it if it needed help. A burst of electromagnetic radiation broadcast in binary the words "No hope, I mourn, you leave now." our vessel began shuddering and so we left the rift, bringing with us the celestial tear relic, which upon activation grants 1000 astral threads.
