⚖ ️ Justice | Justice Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) began his vote on the merits of the case against former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and seven allies this Tuesday (September 9, 2025), stating that "there is no doubt that there was an attempted coup." He also stated that he did not understand "how anyone could consider an agenda with a coup plan normal in the 21st century."
After denying the defense's claims of nullity, the justice began the merits by emphasizing that the analysis will only focus on the perpetrators of the criminal offenses charged by the Attorney General's Office (PGR).
