Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Elite franchise with this Thargoid War cinematic, featuring all in-game footage taken in Open play or in AXI PG with dozens of winged up Commanders.
The time to play Elite is now! With the vast improvements made in 2024, team gameplay and comradery are at an all-time high. The community has defeated six Titan-class motherships and saved thousands of prisoners as the epic saga of strategic warfare comes to an end this year. This music video highlights a few ships we've used daily, but mainly three big workhorses of this war: the Alliance Chieftain, the Krait Mk2, and the new Python Mk2.
Music is "Long & Hard" by The Mob, one of my first bands fresh out of high school. I was playing the drums, my friends Liam and Hugh were on guitar and bass, and the man ripping the Rhodes piano solo is Chester Hansen. Chester was always a cut above the rest, and would go on to achieve worldwide success as bassist of the popular jazz trio, BADBADNOTGOOD (BBNG).
