This Sikh Man Has Been Feeding Abandoned Patients For 26 Years
For the last 26 years, Gurmeet Singh has been helping those who have no one of their own. The owner of a readymade garment shop,
Singh daily visits the 'lawaris' (abandoned) ward of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) at 9 PM and feeds patients the food he has purchased. In 1992, he first visited the 'abandoned patient' ward of PMCH and the sight of unattended patients in pain compelled him to visit them every night with dinner. For his selfless service, Singh was recognised with the World Sikh Award in 2016.
