I can not make a video explaining converting FBX to DAE because there are so many varieties. No two are the same. And it's nothing I feel that I can instruct without confusing people more. So, I recorded most of what I did to get these 3 things from SketchUP to BeamNG. Fast forwarded it. There appears to be no easy way to do this. Most of them have rigs that are useless to beamng. A lot of them have the textures packed or some crap, and almost all of them with rigs have folder structures that are also not going to work in beamng.
Best thing I can say to do, is don't download them. Unless you want a headache.
At minimum you have to remake all the textures for beam from the ones they have. Blender does not export textures to beam. Some FBX I have baked the textures onto one texture, but weird crap like this harry thing, that did not work on. Also, the file structure in the top right has to be sorted out from a mess to what beamNG will read.
99.9999 percent of the time the bones that are in FBX will give you problems in BeamNG. Best to delete the bones and add your own if you want to animate the things for BeamNG
