Three service athletes have been named in a strong Great Britain rowing team for the opening World Cup regatta in Germany later this month. Royal Navy star Peter Reed will race in the men's pair, while Army oarswoman Heather Stanning will line up in the women's pair. Nick Beighton from the Royal Engineers is set to make his team debut in Munich. Beighton, a double leg amputee who was injured in Afghanistan will race in the mixed adaptive double scull.
