단순하지만 묘하게 끌리는 매력을 가진 숫자 퍼즐 게임입니다.
기본 규칙은 상하좌우로 타일을 한 칸씩 밀면서 같은 숫자를 합쳐 더 큰 숫자를 만들어가는 방식입니다. 다만 이 게임의 가장 큰 특징은 ‘1과 2는 서로만 합칠 수 있다’는 점. 그렇게 탄생한 3부터는 동일한 숫자끼리만 머지가 가능하죠.
플레이 방식은 간단하지만, 다음 등장할 타일을 미리 확인할 수 있기 때문에 단순히 합치기만 하는 게 아니라 전체 구성을 미리 고려한 움직임이 필요합니다. 머지가 가능한 숫자가 가까이 있다면 귀엽게 서로를 바라보며 시그널을 주기도 하고, 새로운 숫자를 만들면 해당 숫자의 캐릭터 소개가 짧게 나타나는 등 아기자기한 요소들이 중간중간 웃음을 줍니다.
게임은 한 번의 실수로도 금세 필드를 막아버릴 수 있어서 끝없는 고득점 욕심과의 싸움이기도 합니다. 2048류 게임들과는 달리 한 번에 모든 방향으로 쓸려가는 게 아니라 한 칸씩만 움직이는 특성 덕분에 좀 더 전략적이고 차분한 진행이 가능합니다.
게임 오버가 되면 1과 2를 제외한 타일 점수들이 합산되어 최종 점수를 보여주고, 바로 다시 시작할 수 있죠. 게임 자체는 깔끔하게 완결된 구조라 추가적인 꾸미기 요소는 없지만, 순수하게 머지 퍼즐의 재미만으로도 꽤 깊은 몰입감을 줍니다.
단순한데도 계속 손이 가는 그 마성의 3합치기, 퍼즐을 좋아한다면 한 번쯤 해볼만한 게임입니다.

Threes! is a deceptively simple yet endlessly addictive puzzle game where numbers slide, merge, and multiply—with just the right amount of charm.
The core rule is this: move the board in any direction to merge tiles. But unlike typical sliding puzzles, tiles in Threes! only move one square at a time, not until they hit a wall. And here’s the twist: 1 and 2 tiles can only merge with each other to create a 3. From there, identical numbers can be combined—3 and 3 become 6, 6 and 6 become 12, and so on.
Each tile is a tiny character with its own quirky personality. When mergeable tiles get close, they look at each other, and newly created numbers come with delightful character intros. You’ll also get hints about the next tile to appear, which adds a nice layer of strategy to every move.
Once the board fills up with no more merges possible, the game ends and your score is tallied based on the highest numbers you’ve reached—excluding the basic 1s and 2s. It’s pure, uninterrupted gameplay without any cosmetics or distractions—just clean, clever design.
It’s thoughtful, it’s relaxing, it’s tense—and it’s the original that inspired a whole genre.
