64Found another weird shmup made in RPG Maker.
Picked the third character since it seems like the best balance between power and speed. The homing is pretty useful too.
Extra is the hardest difficulty in the game. On Extra bullets are much faster and all enemies release suicide bullets.
Destroying enemies makes them release grey cubes. Picking these up fills the meter at the bottom-left and you get a bomb when it fully fills up. You can stock up to 5 bombs max at a time.
From what I can see there are 3 ways to get score.
- Speedkilling enemies and bosses for a higher multiplier.
- Bombing enemies and bosses to get gold cubes.
- No-missing stages to get the S rank bonus.
The no-miss bonus gets bigger on higher difficulties and it gets pretty absurdly high on Extra. 6 million in this run comes from the no-miss bonus of the last two stages alone.
Haven't figured out a way to reliably no-miss the stage 4 boss, so I just suicide and bomb as much as possible on that stage
and stock up on bombs for stage 5 and 6.
The final pattern is super crazy. You pretty much need all your bombs to get past it no-miss.
Probably my biggest complaint about this game is how slow your movement speed is. Even the fastest character is still pretty slow.
