Thunder Paw (Xbox One X) (Gameplay Walkthrough - Part 1) The Unexpected Kidnapping
1My next gameplay walkthrough series will feature the indie game Thunder Paw! This game released on the Xbox One on March 18th, 2020. It was developed SergioPoverony and published by Ratalaika Games.
In this video, Thunder's parents are kidnapped and it's up to him to rescue them.
This game is a 2D platforming game where you control a dog named Thunder that sets out to save his parents after they are kidnapped. Thunder was out playing on a seemingly normal, warm and sunny day when out of nowhere an explosion is heard near his house. He ran home as fast as he could to his now-destroyed home and found and empty house with a note that was left behind by the kidnappers. Thunder knew that he was the only one that could rescue his parents so he sets out to take revenge on the kidnappers and save his parents.
The controls are what you would expect from this kind of game: you can move Thunder with the left thumbstick, shoot his gun with the X button and jump with the A button. The game includes a few different kinds of enemies, 20 different levels (spread across 5 different biomes) and 5 bosses spread across the 20 different levels. You actually have to kill all of the enemies in each level before you can progress to the next level, which I found to be a little annoying as some of them were out of the way which meant that I had to backtrack a few times during my playthrough in order to progress.
I actually didn't finish this whole game as my main goal was to just grab all of the achievements, however, I did enjoy my time with it. The game is worth the regular 1,000 GS and you can pretty much earn all of the achievements in less than an hour.
